Material… Continue reading 2nd Order Effect-Equivalent Node Shear Method

2100 mTon Jacket with 2 Blocks Wet Upending, Angola
2 Blocks… Continue reading 2100 mTon Jacket with 2 Blocks Wet Upending, Angola

Effect of Can Length, Thickness Ratio and Modelling Concept on the Tubular Joint Capacity K.Kurojjanawong 29-Sep-2021 The capacity of tubular joint is well research for long time ago. Two important factors which effect to the capacity of tubular joint with Y and X type which many engineers do not realize is the Length of CAN… Continue reading Effect of Can Length, Thickness Ratio and Modelling Concept on the Tubular Joint Capacity
Equivalent Dynamic Amplification Factor (EDAF) from Irregular Dynamic Wave Time Domain Analyses
Equivalent Dynamic Amplification Factor (EDAF) from Irregular Dynamic Wave Time Domain Analyses K.Kurojjanawong 19-Sep-2021 ในโครงสร้างที่มีความ Nonlinearity และ Dynamic Sensitive สูงมากๆ อย่างเช่น โครงสร้างในทะเลที่มีคาบเกิน 4 วินาทีขึ้นไป ซึ่งมักจะเกิดในโครงสร้างแบบ Fixed Jacket ที่มี Topside ขนาดหนักมากอยู่บนหัว และอยู่ในน้ำลึกเกิน 100 ม หรือ พวก Jack-up โครงสร้างลักษณะพวกนี้ การใช้ Quasi-static Design Wave Method ด้วยการเลือกคลื่นที่มีความสูงที่สุดทางสถิติ แบบ Hs,max แล้วใช้ Extreme Deterministic Wave (Hmax) รวมกับ Dynamic Amplification Factor (DAF)… Continue reading Equivalent Dynamic Amplification Factor (EDAF) from Irregular Dynamic Wave Time Domain Analyses
Example of Equivalent Static Seismic Force @ Principal Axis of Ground Motion
Example of Equivalent Static Seismic Force @ Principal Axis of Ground Motion K.Kurojjanawong 10-Jul-2021 ผมเอาตัวอย่างงานเก่ามาให้ดู ออกตัวก่อนว่า ปกติ ผมไม่เคยหา Principal Axis of Ground Motion เพราะผมรวมผลของทิศทางด้วยวิธี SRSS ดังนั้น ทิศทางของ Principal Axis of Ground Motion จึงไม่มีความหมาย แต่การรวมด้วย 100/30 rule ตาม ASCE 7 หรือ มยผ 1301-1302 นั้น ทิศทางของ Principal Axis of Ground Motion นั้นมีความหมายมาก สำหรับโครงสร้างรูปร่างหน้าตาปกติ มันก็จะอยู่ขนานแปลนของอาคารอยู่แล้ว ซึ่งพิสูจน์ให้เห็นแล้วจากโพสก่อนหน้านี้ แต่เมื่อแปลนอาคารแปลกๆ มีการหักเหลี่ยม… Continue reading Example of Equivalent Static Seismic Force @ Principal Axis of Ground Motion
Effective Length of Stepped Column
Effective Length of Stepped Column K.Kurojjanawong 18-Feb-2021 ผมเอาตัวอย่างค่า Effective Buckling Length ของ Stepped Column มาให้ดู โดยตัดมาจากบทความข้างล่าง ซึ่งบทความนี้ได้รับการอ้างอิงอยู่ใน Appendix B ของ AISC Design Guide No.7 Industrial Buildings ด้วย “Calculation of Effective Lengths of Stepped Column, Krishna M. Agrawal and Andrew P. Stafiej (1980)” โดยตัดมาให้ดูเฉพาะเสาแบบปลายเป็น Pin-Pin ที่มีการเปลี่ยนหน้าตัดที่ตรงกลางเสาพอดี (L2/LT = 0.5) โดยจะเห็นว่าเมื่อค่า Moment of Inertia (I) เปลี่ยนไปเรื่อยๆ ค่า… Continue reading Effective Length of Stepped Column

Super-element / Matrix Condensation /Sub-structuring Technique
Continue reading Super-element / Matrix Condensation /Sub-structuring Technique
